CARINYA: "HAPPY HOME"
Doug and Tricia called their farm "Carinya" which is an Australian aboriginal meaning "Happy Home"
as Tricia is Australian and Doug is Canadian this marries their two heritages in name and location.
Carinya Bison Company is a family-run business.
Father and son duo - Doug and Aaron each bought their first cows in 1993.
Doug and his wife Tricia operated the farm until 2017 when Doug's son Aaron and his wife Crystal joined the business.
Together the four of them have grown the herd to over 100 animals.
With the help of Aaron and Crystal's 3 sons, they manage Carinya Bison Company in Vulcan County.
